Ikebana Japanese Flower Arranging, Sydney & Blue Mountains
Arrangements, Lessons, Demonstrations
Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging. It is a disciplined art form using plant material to create an arrangement where nature and humanity are brought together.
Nature is always changing, and Ikebana expresses the seasons by the use of branches, leaves, flowers and even man made material.
Sandra Cottee, a teacher of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, with considerable experience, creates unique arrangements using sensitivity and imagination which brightens, colours and gives life to our environment.
For over 25 years she has exhibited Ikebana arrangements at the Sydney Botanic Gardens, Sydney Garden Show Darling Harbour, the Domain, David Jones flower festival, Gardening Australia Live shows, flower shows, hotels, arts centres, Ikebana conferences and at Floriade flower festival in Canberra.
